Scotland – a land of myth & legend

where dramatic castles stand in contrast to tumbledown crofts, bottomless lochs hiding ancient mysteries and men wear skirts with impunity. If you want to experience a true Scottish culture then look no further than Culdees.

Our Luxury cabins are inspiring, homely and authentic. We pride ourselves on respecting the nature around us and have designed our unique site to nestle quietly into its surroundings. A truly unique space with complete privacy.

A Hot Tub, fire pit and BBQ are all available within your own personal space. Wild deer roam free along with our own poultry.

All our cabins are accessed by private pathways. All have outdoor pergola seating areas, fairy lighting and private gardens. Wood fired spa hot tubs, BBQ stations and firepit gardens are also available.

Our Cabins

Drummond Lodge looks out into our flower meadow and grazing fields beyond. Decorated with a fresh botanical theme.

Spiers Lodge is a larger cabin which has direct views of Historic Culdees Castle which is currently being restored. The castle is back lit at night adding to the breath taking views across the estate and into the Highlands beyond. Decorated with a soft interior of blues, heather and Scottish wildlife images.

Majors Lodge is set deep within the woodland and styled as a cosy Scottish hunting lodge. Red plaid furnishings and rustic charm.

Horton lodge is a larger cabin with a stunning large lounge window that  looks across the flower meadow. The cabin is set back into our woodland and surrounded by rhododendron bushes and ancient trees. The interior styling pays homage to our Culdees Peacocks with striking blues and greens.

TESTIMONIALS

Earlier this month we had the pleasure of meeting Jane,a writer that had booked a glamping stay in Horton Lodge as a rural retreat. Following a private tour of the grounds and Castle Jane revealed that Culdees Castle Estate features as a key location in the historical novel she is writing!
Edinburgh based @jane.s.anderson.writer has 2 historical novels coming out later this year. A Jacobite love story, then a dual timeline based on the true life story of 19th century painter Christina Robertson. Her next project is writing The Orchid Hunter’s Daughter, which takes place in 1867-71 and is set around our very own castle and estate.
We are absolutely thrilled with this news and plan to support Jane by selling her book in our onsite shop and website. We will let you know here as soon as it’s available. What exciting news!!! #culdeesrenovation #culdeestestimonial
